“Cataclysm”

The bitter funereal cavalcade
Of Starlight’s dying masquerade
Swept winds across the weeping face
Of spires erected in chaos
Maidens and Minstrels fled the streets
Draped in black, veiled with disease
As plagues, the wrath of Gods, descend!

Pyres, alight with mourning
Blaze to embers in the Dawn
The scarlet sunrise daunted
By atrocities to come!

Arise, Oh darkness, claim your King
Of unrequited screaming
Embellish and empower He
Who leads unruly Insects!

“Claiming Godhood, Istar’s priest
Brings Death upon you all
For upon the idolaters’ city
A testament to Our malice falls”

Cataclysm!

Whirl and howl around Him
Oh Ye, cyclonic Blood Sea
Swallowing the heretic
Who, in Our names, blasphemes!

Leave His palace to Our whims
Grant it to the Dark Queen
For Takhisis drags it to nothingness
Forever in the Abyss it shall remain!

Vile King-Priest
Whose own greed brought this fate on Thee
Suffer for your sins
Forever walk this shattered Sea!

Orchids planted in the name
Of this once prosperous city
And We Gods withdraw,
Our bitter sorrows
From the covetous Earth
We did create!

Cataclysm!

The sunrise appears once more
Hazarding a glance o’er the horizon
To bathe this ransacked world in golden light
Blazing with the hope of its salvation
Persevering through the darkness of the Night
“We watch Thee from afar, Our spoiled children
And leave you to survive or perish alone”
